Extended processing for online withdrawals: A large number of wins has led to longer than normal processing times for some withdrawals. We appreciate your patience as withdrawals are completed as quickly as possible.

Lottery highly values integrity and security.

  • For a first-time withdrawal, documentation may need to be submitted and reviewed before the withdrawal is finalized (see more details in the article below). It will help if you make sure that all text and pictures in the images are clear and easy to read before uploading them. With the current high number of wins being processed, this may add up to 7 days to the withdrawal processing time.
  • If you have previously made a withdrawal with the same payment method, documentation would already be in place and the withdrawal should process more quickly.
  • If you want to check on the status of your withdrawal, you can view the status in your account.

To make the deposit and withdrawal processes go smoothly, we suggest that you provide any required documentation that may be needed to verify ownership of your payment methods ahead of time. This ensures our system and accounting team can confirm deposits are valid and winnings are issued to the correct person.

ACH - Bank Transfer  - Bank Information

 

To verify ownership of a bank account, please provide the following: 

 

  • A color copy of your government-issued photo ID (driver’s license, state-issued ID, passport, etc.), and one of the following:
    • A letter from your financial institution, which includes the account holder’s full name, current address, account number, and the financial institution’s routing number.  This letter must be on financial institution’s letterhead, or 
    • A voided check, which includes the account holder’s name, account number, and the financial institution’s routing number.


Deposit slips and/or deposit tickets are not accepted for account verification. Prepaid accounts such as NetSpend, GreenDot, etc. are not acceptable payment methods.

Credit or Debit Cards

 

If you are the owner of the credit or debit card and you need to verify ownership, please provide the following: 


  • A color copy of your government-issued photo ID (driver’s license, state-issued ID, passport, etc.).
  • A copy of the credit or debit card.
    • The Cardholder’s name, expiration date, and the last 4 digits of the card number must be clearly visible. You may hide any other details. 

 

If the credit/debit card has a name other than your own and you need to verify ownership, please provide the following:


  • A color copy of your government-issued photo ID (driver’s license, state-issued ID, passport, etc.).
  • A copy of the credit or debit card.
    • The Cardholder’s name, expiration date and the last 4 digits of the card number must be clearly visible. You may hide any other details.
      • A color copy of the Cardholder’s government-issued photo ID (driver’s license, state-issued ID, passport, etc.).
      • A letter of consent from the Cardholder authorizing your use of this credit card.
        • View printable Letter of Consent.
        • Please print the ‘Letter of Consent’ form, complete the required information and ensure the letter includes the original signature of both parties.

PayPal Account

 

To verify ownership of a PayPal account, please provide the following: 


  • A color copy of your government-issued photo ID (driver’s license, state-issued ID, passport, etc.).


For a PayPal account to be available for withdrawing winnings, PayPal requires that you have previously made a deposit into your Michigan Lottery account using the same account.

 

Additionally, your PayPal account must be linked to your bank account to use it for Michigan Lottery account activities.

To verify ownership of a Visa Debit account, please provide the following:
